She gets pulled in to this culture as she trains for the New York Golden Gloves. From world champions to amateurs training for local tournaments, Jill discovers they all have a lot in common. Throughout the film, how she and the other women she trains with arrive at boxing is revealed. The real emotional history, and traumas bubble up fleshing out a compelling story about women overcoming adversity in what many consider a violent sport.

He believes Jamaica needs a change in its ways of screenwriting, so he decides to create something new and different, Derrick decides to create a Jamaican horror story with the hopes of getting a movie deal.   On his way to his mountain getaway Derrick has an encounter with an apparition on the side of the road which leads to his next few days in the mountains filled with a series of bizarre and terrifying events, his horror story is about to become a true story.

TOUSSAINT LOUVERTURE is a two-part epic film directed by Philippe Niang, depicting the life of Toussaint Louverture, (Jimmy Jean-Louis) leader of the Haitian liberation struggle. Louverture led the first successful slave revolt in world history, defeating Napoleon Bonaparte and winning independence from France.  Known for his military genius and political acumen, Louverture established Haiti as the first Black nation in the western hemisphere and the first Black free nation as well. The success of Louverture and the Haitian Revolution rocked the institution of slavery throughout the “New World” of the Americas.
